Happy New Year #Flexers! 🎉
What a year 2019 has been. We are excited and ready to do whatever is needed for a successful and prosperous 2020. Right off the bat, I have found that many lawyers have decided to commit to the most relevant and business-driven marketing strategy… Video! Less than one week in the year, lawyers have dominated the video space and have begun vlogging, scripting content, and planning for a year worth of visual and digital marketing. Here are some quick facts on the popularity of video use online. These pointers will let you in on the power of visual marketing. At this rate, video can and will save, maintain, and grow your business.
According to Quartz, “A Facebook executive predicted that their platform will be all video and no text by 2021”
Get with the times! Video is taking over. Take this year to get comfortable, get the jitters out, and completely transition yourself and your team into the video world. Don’t worry, long-form text is still great for blog spaces.
Insivia states that “Viewers retain 95% of a message when they watch it in a video, compared to 10% when reading it in [the] text”.
If you truly care about your clients and audience, do what works best for them. If your goal is to educate and inform your viewers of their legal rights, do it in the way that statistics find most helpful.
According to Word Stream, “92% of users watching video on mobile will share it with others”.
Sharing is key. People are more likely to share a video with someone they think needs it. That could be one person or their 1,000’s of eager followers. Never miss an opportunity to have your posts shared. Always remember your CTA. This is how your business will grow. #FirmFlex Video hacks are bringing new leads in. We watched that happen in 2019.
HubSpot mentions that “Adding video to your emails can increase click rates by 300%.”
Have you thought about enhancing your monthly newsletter with a video instead of text? Social media is not the only place where videos will strive. Give it a shot and see what your readers think! Show your mailing list that you are committed to staying relevant and doing what is best for your business. That goes a long way.
And finally, Instagram states that “85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound, while 60% of Instagram Stories are watched with the sound on.”
So remember to include subtitles. Not only for engagement and watch time but for user assessability. Do not neglect an entire population of social media viewers due to negligence. Be inclusive and watch how many referrals, leads, and new clients you convert online.
